PPP: Retiree Workforce

In Malaysia, our government retirement age is 56 years old. To my husband, 56 years old is too early. He said a 56 years old man is still fit and strong enough to continue working. I heard many retirees complaint about their boring life after the retirement also. Anyway, I still hear some good response from one of my ex-colleague who enjoy her life after retirement so much that she feels her life is much more interesting than before. She works as a part time sales agent and get to go travel when she feels like to.

With current labourforce crisis, a lot of companies started to look for more mature and experienced worker to fill the gap with the younger generation. Their knowledge is much needed to train the young one to be able to work more independently. By going back to workforce, retirees can use their time and their expertise wisely. They can still earn money to support their own life and the best part is, if they are still under workforce, they can get other benefits like medical coverage and financially secured.
